Petra and Peter’s father is a cartographer. He prepares a special surprise for his children – a miraculous visit to a place on the map – a paper town! Petra and Peter’s task is not only to find their way out of the city and back home, but also to help the city’s inhabitants cope with the worries that trouble them.
The web series Paper Town shows teenagers Petra and Peter as a pair who eventually discover that they can react to the problems in the town and do something about them, even though they are not adults, and do not have important positions in society. All it takes is a bit of cleverness, interest, imagination, and courage. Gradually, they gain the support of the locals for their bold ideas. Eventually, they manage to make Paper Town a better place to live.
In the next part of the series, the situation will be even more complicated. This time, Petra and Peter will be transported not to a town, but to a village. And to make matters worse – a very poor third-world village. There is a lack of basic food, drinking water, and security. The problems are no longer trifles, but vital challenges that they and the village inhabitants must face. Petra and Peter try their best to understand things and find the best possible solution. Sometimes they do not succeed, but they do not give up and keep going until they get to the bottom of things.

Throughout 2021, characters from the world of Paper City were created to inspire school children not to be afraid of being proactive and receptive to their surroundings. The animated episodes also include worksheets and other interactive materials that can be used in geography lessons.
Today’s attention is often focused on global problems. It is heartwarming to see that young teenagers can actively change the world through their immediate surroundings. This makes them much more receptive and understanding of the world that they live in.

JOIN THE TEAM :)
The first phase of this project is now closed, but we would be tempted to continue with more stories to inspire the younger generations not to be afraid of being active and transforming their surroundings. We are looking for a broadcaster (meaning a TV station) to take up this theme, and we would again like to work with our animation studio to produce further episodes of this animated series.
